Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klaus Tuppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuppy shoots in for a takedown but Todd shows good takedown defense.
Tuppy leaves Todd with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Todd throws a head kick but Tuppy moves out of range.
Tuppy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Tuppy forces Todd back against the cage and clinches.
Tuppy tries to pull guard but Todd won't allow it.
Mike Todd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klaus Tuppy.
Tuppy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tuppy is trying to pull guard but Todd has him pressed against the cage.
Tuppy is trying to break the clinch but Todd is controlling him.
Tuppy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Todd after a bit of a struggle.

Tuppy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Todd fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Tuppy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Todd just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tuppy has Todd pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Todd manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Tuppy throws a nice outside leg kick.

Todd moves into range and clinches up with Tuppy.

Todd is pulling down on Tuppy's head to control his posture.
Tuppy wants to control from the top but Todd keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Todd shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tuppy pinned against the cage. Tuppy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's time! Todd's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Tuppy fails with a takedown attempt.
Tuppy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tuppy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Todd can pounce on him.

Todd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tuppy is one step ahead there.

Tuppy trying to control the position from guard on top but Todd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Todd clinches up with Tuppy and pushes him back against the cage.
Tuppy trying to control the position but instead, Todd has worked for underhooks and has pushed Tuppy into the cage.

Todd lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tuppy backwards.

Todd's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tuppy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Todd is fending him off so far but Tuppy persists. Nope, Todd circles away and we're back to standing.
Mike Todd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tuppy is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Tuppy drives through and clinches with Todd against the cage.
Todd is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tuppy pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Todd is pressed up against the cage. Tuppy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Todd down to the mat. Todd avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
No joy there for Todd, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tuppy has gone for a leg lock! Todd slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tuppy's guard.

Tuppy is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Todd has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Todd!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Todd.
Well Todd has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
