Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Montgomery Nagendra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri CoxX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nagendra's entrance music is Mozart - Lacrimosa. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagendra dives in and grabs CoxX's left leg, looking for a takedown. CoxX pushes down on Nagendra's head and hops out.
CoxX throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Nagendra counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
CoxX is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nagendra tries to score with some ground and pound. CoxX controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Montgomery Nagendra will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Horrible takedown by Nagendra or perhaps it was just good defense by CoxX which made him look bad.

Nagendra postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have CoxX in real trouble here! The ref calls for CoxX to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Montgomery Nagendra really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Brute logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
