Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Big Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Trout!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trout stuffs the takedown.
Trout looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Trout fails with an attempt to clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jenkins.
Jenkins throws an elbow but Trout slips to the side and avoids it well.
Trout takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Jenkins is chipping away with strikes.
Trout tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jenkins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Trout taking punishment in the form of punches.
Trout takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jenkins is chipping away with strikes.
Trout is looking to regain half guard here but Jenkins keeps moving and retains side control.
Jenkins cracks Trout with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Jenkins wants to control but Trout is keeping him busy.
Trout tries to improve position but can't.
Jenkins is working Trout over with some ground and pound from side control.
Jenkins lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Jenkins working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jenkins is putting a hurting on Trout here, landing some big shots from side control.
Jenkins is looking to take a break and control but Trout is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jenkins misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Trout takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Jenkins is trying to get an arm triangle but Trout is defending well.

Trout is not content to let Jenkins control the position.
Trout tries to improve position but can't.

Jenkins misses with the ground and pound.
Jenkins moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Trout parries the strikes from Jenkins easily there. Jenkins is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Trout to escape.

Jenkins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Trout, who protects the arm well.
Check out the look on Jenkins's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jenkins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Trout knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jenkins tries to move into full mount but can't pass Trout's legs.
Jenkins is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Trout will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jenkins has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's time! Jenkins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Trout stuffs the takedown attempt from Jenkins. Jenkins gets slowly back to his feet.
Jenkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Trout is fending him off so far but Jenkins persists. Nope, Trout circles away and we're back to standing.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trout as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Jenkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jenkins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Trout manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jenkins manages to get himself to full guard.

Trout decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Trout scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Trout is trying to control. Jenkins wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Trout is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Jenkins is looking for a sweep. Trout is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jenkins is staying active underneath Trout, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jenkins has hold of Trout's hands but Trout slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Trout decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Trout moves into the clinch successfully.
Jenkins has Trout pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Trout manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Jenkins is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Trout gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Trout manages to break the clinch.

Trout closes the distance and clinches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Trout stops a takedown attempt from Jenkins.
Jenkins drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Trout gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jenkins is fighting off a takedown attempt but Trout is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jenkins to the mat. Jenkins regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Jenkins pushes Trout off and scrambles back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trout sprawls well. Trout wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jenkins gets slowly back to his feet.

Trout looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jenkins!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin Trout showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Jenkins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Trout is looking to improve his position.
Jenkins wants to take a breather but Trout is having none of it.
Jenkins stalling.
Jenkins trying to control from half guard but Trout is working away.

Jenkins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Trout is just riding it out for now. Jenkins eventually gives up the hold.
Jenkins wants to free his trapped foot but Trout is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jenkins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jenkins wants to take a breather but Trout is having none of it.
Jenkins scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Jenkins lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Jenkins takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Jenkins works his way into side control.
Jenkins lands an elbow.

Jenkins tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jenkins has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jenkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trout keeps working.
Jenkins slows the pace down.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Trout prevents Jenkins from moving into mount.
Jenkins looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Trout is avoiding damage well.
Jenkins trying to control the position but Trout is working away.
Trout is trying to improve his position.
Jenkins working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Trout is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jenkins connects with a decent elbow.
Jenkins creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Jenkins swings around for an armbar but Trout sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jenkins's guard.

Jenkins lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Trout!

Big Jenkins showed his dominance in that final round.
