The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Silva working aggressively here.
Silva pushes Little back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Silva lands a left hand that snaps the head of Little backwards.
Little fails to pull the fight into his guard.

James Little seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Little gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Silva.

Little is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Silva gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Silva is pressing down on Little's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Little swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's time! Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Silva connects with a crisp jab.

Silva drives through and clinches with Little against the cage.
Silva lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Silva scores with a nice hook to the head.

Silva successfully pulls guard.

Silva throws his legs up looking for a submission but Little uses it to pass to side control.
Silva is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Little's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Little is breathing heavily.
Little is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position.
Silva gets back to full guard.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Little gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Little drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Silva dives on top into guard.
Silva stands and throws Little's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Little is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Silva throws a strike aimed at the side of Little's head but Little avoids it well.

Little is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silva's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Silva! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Little has tapped! This one is allllll over!
