The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray throws a sloppy head kick and Ragi moves out of range easily.
Murray stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Murray wants it to stay on the feet.
Ragi throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Ragi fails with the takedown.
Fred Ragi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ragi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Murray swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Murray defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ragi.
Mark Murray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Ragi.
Ragi tries to close the distance and clinch but Murray swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Murray turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Murray tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ragi's legs.
Murray throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Murray works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Murray has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Murray controls the position.
Ragi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Murray's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Murray lands a nice forearm strike.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ragi is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Murray passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Ragi!
Murray takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Murray is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Ragi is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Ragi flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Murray anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Ragi and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Murray slips an arm under Ragi chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Murray has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Murray is squeezing on Ragi like an anaconda would it's prey. Ragi fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mark Murray!
After the fight, Mark Murray was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
