Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fatboy Spindle!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis misses with a takedown attempt - Spindle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Davis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spindle swivels and escapes.
Davis shoots in but Spindle avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clayton Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Davis wants to clinch.

Davis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Spindle controlling the position for now.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Davis connects with a nice short shot to Spindle's temple.
Davis wants to take a breather but Spindle is having none of it.
Spindle manages to get to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Spindle is on top in guard.

Spindle works over Davis with some ground and pound from guard.
Davis wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Spindle is now in half guard.
Spindle content to control rather than advance.

Spindle decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Davis fails with a takedown attempt.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Davis is breathing heavily.

Spindle darts in and clinches Davis up against the cage.
Davis prevents the takedown attempt.
Davis is looking to break free of the clinch but Spindle has double underhooks.

Spindle breaks the clinch.
Fatboy Spindle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spindle gets a clinch.
Davis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Spindle smiles and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Spindle wants to slow Davis down by chopping away at his legs.
Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spindle's waist but Spindle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side.
Davis gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Spindle.
Davis drops his hands momentarily. Spindle doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Davis staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Davis doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
