Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between El Senor Sox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Limmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Limmen scores with a punch to the head.
Limmen lands with a shot to the body.
Limmen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sox.
Limmen lands a glancing blow to the side of Sox's head.
Limmen misses with a wild body shot.

Sox misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Sox counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Limmen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sox cracks Limmen with an open hand slap.

Sox takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Limmen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sox throws a nice looking combination but Limmen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Limmen moves into range and connects with a jab.
Sox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Limmen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Limmen thows a body shot but no joy.
Sox will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Steve Limmen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sox fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Limmen avoids it really well and circles away.

Sox ducks under a wild hook from Limmen.

Limmen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sox was well out of range. Poor timing from Limmen.

Sox works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Limmen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A lazy left from Limmen finds it's target.
Sox bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Limmen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sox sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sox throws a hook to the side of Limmen's head but Limmen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sox uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Limmen.

and Sox counters with a nice double leg into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Sox tries to free his leg and advance position but Limmen is retaining full guard.
Sox wants to control from the top but Limmen keeps moving.
Sox slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The ref stands the fighters back up. El Senor Sox wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Limmen drops Sox with a straight right hand, right on the button! Limmen follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Steve Limmen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
