Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Dicksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Vale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vale has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul Vale!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dicksson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Vale tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dicksson gets to mount! Vale was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Vale is desperately trying to improve his position but Dicksson has a good base and remains in mount.
Dicksson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Vale hang on?
Vale takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Dicksson prevents Vale from getting the reversal.
Dicksson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vale is looking to escape.
Vale can't escape the position.
Vale in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Dicksson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dicksson wants to finish this one by submission but Vale is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Dicksson.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vale is trying to reverse the position but instead Dicksson has taken his back - oops!

I really don't envy Vale right now.

Vale staying busy and making it hard for Dicksson to control.
Dicksson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Vale has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vale turns into Dicksson and is now in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vale is pushing down on Dicksson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dicksson is fighting to maintain full guard but Vale has managed to sneak the leg through.
Vale is thwarting Dicksson's attempts to control the position.

Vale frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Vale is trying to take his opponent's back.
Vale goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dicksson is on top in guard.
Vale looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Vale manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dicksson manages to get himself to full guard.
Vale stands and throws Dicksson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Vale tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Dicksson wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Dicksson is pushing Vale's head away, looking to escape. Vale manages to hold on to the position though.

Vale is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Dicksson is trying to escape and Vale transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Dicksson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Vale! Very nice indeed!
