Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eliézer Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado comes into the arena with Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Manres's choice of entrance music: Aqualung - Jethro Tull. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado stuffs the takedown.
The fighters circling - Machado throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Manres shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Manres drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Machado manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Manres has Machado in his guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Eliézer Machado wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Manres shoots in and drives through. Machado sprawls well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Ludwig Manres will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Machado lunges at Manres with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Manres's hand.
Manres shoots in looking for a takedown. Machado tries to sprawl out of it but Manres keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Machado manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Manres has Machado pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Machado manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Manres is working for takedown but Machado is calmly controlling the position for now.

Manres is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Machado can't fight it off and eventually Manres manages to take the fight to the floor. Machado looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Manres stands up over Machado, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Manres has gone for a leg lock! Machado slips out almost immediately though and dives into Manres's guard.
Manres is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

and Machado scores with a counter punch that sends Manres to the canvas! Machado smells blood - he's punishing Manres with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Manres has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
