PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boris Kharitonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Wattson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wattson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Weapon Of Choice - Fatboy Slim. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wattson misses with a double jab.
Kharitonov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wattson.
Wattson lands a leg kick that knocks Kharitonov off balance momentarily.

Wattson throws a series of strikes that have Kharitonov backpedaling.


It looks like Boris Kharitonov has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kharitonov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wattson.
Wattson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kharitonov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Wattson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wattson shoots in and drives through. Kharitonov sprawls well.
Wattson throws the left hand but Kharitonov avoids the punch easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wattson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Kharitonov sprawling to the canvas. Wattson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Kharitonov hang on?

Wattson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kharitonov.

Kharitonov swings wildly with an uppercut but Wattson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wattson prevents a body shot from Kharitonov.
Wattson lands a knee to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wattson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kharitonov is defending well for now.

Wattson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wattson cracks a nice hook into Kharitonov's ribs.
Wattson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Wattson cracks Kharitonov with a hook to the temple - Kharitonov is on wobbly legs here! Wattson swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Kharitonov falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Wattson wins by TKO!
