Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Sibayan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giret Dayz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Sibayan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Giret Dayz!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dayz tries to clinch up

and Sibayan counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sibayan tries for a kimura but Dayz is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dayz is looking to regain half guard here but Sibayan keeps moving and retains side control.
Dayz prevents Sibayan from moving into mount.
Dayz struggling a bit here.
Sibayan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sibayan throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Sibayan advances to mount.
Sibayan trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Sibayan lands a big shot there that rocks Dayz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Sibayan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dayz is surviving well by controlling Sibayan's body position as best he can.
Dayz tries to hold on but Sibayan pushes him away.
Dayz wants to try and get back to his feet.
Sibayan tries to control but Dayz wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sibayan throwing strikes here but Dayz is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Sibayan goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dayz is on top in guard.
Sibayan wants to get back to his feet but Dayz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Dayz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sibayan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dayz won't allow Sibayan to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Dayz stands up from Sibayan's guard - Dayz perhaps looking for a knockout.
Horrible takedown by Sibayan or perhaps it was just good defense by Dayz which made him look bad.
Dayz wants to clinch

and Sibayan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dayz!

Sibayan working for a guillotine from mount but Dayz is in no mood to give up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sibayan with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Dayz is just holding on here. Sibayan manages to take his back.

Dayz is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sibayan tightening his grip on Dayz, looking for the choke.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dayz tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Sibayan dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sibayan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dayz tries to clinch but Sibayan is having none of it.
Dayz tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Sibayan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dayz's guard now.
Dayz trying to control the position.
Dayz pulls Sibayan in close to his closed guard and prevents Sibayan from doing any damage or advancing position.
Sibayan passes Dayz's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Mark Sibayan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sibayan passes to side control.
Sibayan tries to advance to mount but Dayz denies him.
Dayz wants to control but Sibayan postures up.
Dayz stops Sibayan from passing to mount.
Dayz gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Sibayan trying to control but Dayz is having none of it.

Sibayan working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Dayz turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Sibayan off and cradles Dayz's limp body as Sibayan celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Mark Sibayan!
