Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tuaisiala Mirapthlak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tuaisiala Mirapthlak has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tuaisiala Mirapthlak seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mirapthlak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hawk is working an open guard so Mirapthlak takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hawk connects with an inside leg kick.
Mirapthlak closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mirapthlak stands up and beckons Hawk to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hawk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mirapthlak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mirapthlak throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hawk uses it to pass to side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hawk is trying to get an arm triangle but Mirapthlak is defending well.
Hawk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hawk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mirapthlak is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hawk off and has taken his back!

Mirapthlak looking to break Hawk's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hawk remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Mirapthlak will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Mirapthlak is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Hawk has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Hawk trying to control the hands but Mirapthlak won't let him.

Mirapthlak is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Hawk is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mirapthlak gets his way!
Hawk rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Hawk tries to roll over but Mirapthlak keeps him under control.
Mirapthlak is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hawk defends it well.
Mirapthlak is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mirapthlak stands up and beckons Hawk to join him on the feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hawk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Mirapthlak looking for submissions off his back.
Hawk is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Hawk is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mirapthlak has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Hawk. Oh but Mirapthlak has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Hawk goes limp - he's gone! Mirapthlak jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
