The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tenorio cracks Cruz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Tenorio gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cruz to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tenorio wants to stand but Cruz is controlling the position.

Cruz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tenorio, up you get!
Cruz has a takedown stuffed.
Cruz fails with a takedown attempt.

Cruz gets tackled into the cage by Tenorio. Tenorio maintains the clinch.
Tenorio has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Cruz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tenorio pulls his leg out and moves away.

Cruz forces Tenorio back against the cage and clinches.

Cruz has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Cruz seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Tenorio's chin but Tenorio turns very nicely into Cruz's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Tenorio.
Tenorio has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Cruz controls Tenorio momentarily but Tenorio frees himself.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Tenorio would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Tenorio trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cruz is working an open guard so Tenorio takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

A close round but Jamie Cruz will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Danga de danga de dang - Tenorio scores with a four punch combination!
Cruz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tenorio manages to avoid it.
Cruz shoots for a double leg takedown but Tenorio sprawls well. He's pushed Cruz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Nice takedown defense from Tenorio. No joy for Cruz on that attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice straight punches there by Tenorio. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Tenorio.
Cruz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Cruz is breathing heavily.
Cruz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tenorio avoids it really well and circles away.

Tenorio bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cruz's head backwards.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tenorio as he jumps to the side.
Tenorio is looking to clinch but Cruz is avoiding it.
Cruz walks into a jab.
Cruz dives in and grabs Tenorio's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tenorio pushes down on Cruz's head and hops out.
Claudio Tenorio is winning the standup battle so far.

Tenorio cracks Cruz with an uppercut from hell and Cruz crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Tenorio's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Cruz is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tenorio wanted to stand there but Cruz had control of the position.
Cruz is still in real trouble! Can Tenorio finish him?

Tenorio gets to his feet. Cruz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Cruz seems to have recovered his senses.

Tenorio works the jab nicely.
Tenorio lands with an overhand left.

Tenorio bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Cruz! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Tenorio wants to stand but Cruz is controlling his posture from full guard.

Cruz throws a series of punches but Tenorio avoids them all with ease.
Claudio Tenorio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cruz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cruz there as he acknowledges the shot.
Tenorio lands a nice shot that snaps Cruz's head back.
Tenorio connects with a nice cross there... Cruz is looking wobbly and Tenorio recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Cruz to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Tenorio jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
