Cousins has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! DeMarcus Cousins has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sam Quentin's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cousins rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Quentin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cousins's guard now.
Cousins looks winded!
Quentin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Cousins has momentary wrist control but Quentin slips an elbow through the middle.
Quentin advances to half guard.
Quentin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Quentin lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Cousins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quentin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cousins takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
