Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ej Balingit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankestein Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: STOMP!!! by The Brothers Johnson!!!. Ej Balingit has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ej Balingit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankestein Mir!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mir closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mir throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Balingit wants to improve his position but Mir is controlling well.
Mir is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Mir in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Mir trying to control the position from guard on top but Balingit is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mir tries to free his leg and advance position but Balingit is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Balingit escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Balingit looking to control.
Mir wants to control from the top but Balingit keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mir prevents Balingit from getting back to his feet.
Mir throwing strikes but missing.
Mir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mir preventing the sweep.
Mir trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Balingit wants to stand and escape but Mir is having none of it.
Mir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Balingit swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Balingit keeping moving, preventing Mir from controlling successfully.
Balingit wants to sweep here but Mir controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A telegraphed right hand from Balingit misses the target.
Balingit looks to score with a jab to the body but Mir is just out of range.
Balingit looks to land a right hand but Mir moved out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
That kick from Mir tenderised Balingit's leg. Balingit is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mir misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Balingit tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mir was well out of range. Poor timing from Balingit.
Mir slips a straight right by Balingit.
Mir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Balingit sprawls well. Balingit wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mir gets slowly back to his feet.
A jab from Mir finds it's way through Balingit's defenses.
Balingit tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mir jabs Balingit to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mir scores with a three punch combo!

Mir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mir sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Balingit's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mir is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Mir lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Balingit keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Balingit is working hard here to advance position.
Mir trying to control but Balingit is having none of it.
Mir with a couple of short strikes.

Mir goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Balingit turns into him and now he's in Mir's guard.
Balingit wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving.
Balingit controls from within his opponent's guard.
Balingit has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Balingit trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mir is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mir has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Balingit can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mir wants to sweep but no luck.
Mir manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Balingit manages to get himself to full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frankestein Mir dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Balingit jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mir tries to land a leg kick but Balingit saw it coming and moves away.
Mir throws the left hand but Balingit avoids the punch easily.
Balingit scores with a punch to the head.
Mir shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Balingit as he avoids it easily.
A slow jab from Mir misses its intended target.
Mir shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Balingit checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Mir gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Balingit makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ej Balingit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankestein Mir.
Balingit keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mir.
Mir throws a right and a left that Balingit avoids nicely.
Balingit jabs Mir to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mir scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Balingit doesn't seem bothered though.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mir.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You can see the frustration on Balingit's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Balingit holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Frankestein Mir has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mir moves into full mount!

Balingit is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Mir locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Balingit is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Frankestein Mir!
Frankestein Mir seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
