Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Talles Vrade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Talles Vrade !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Kim!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Vrade moves into the clinch successfully.
Vrade wants to break the clinch but can't.
Vrade gets underhooks to prevent Kim's takedown attempt.
Kim is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kim tries for a takedown but Vrade manages to get underhooks.
Talles Vrade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Kim.
Kim changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vrade fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vrade .
Vrade moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vrade scores with a hook to the body. Kim takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Vrade has managed to clinch.

Kim tries to score a body lock takedown but Vrade shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Vrade gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kim.
Vrade is trying to stall.
Kim wants a takedown.
Kim looks winded!

Vrade manages to break the clinch.

Vrade forces Kim back against the cage and clinches.
Kim wants a takedown.

Vrade breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vrade rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vrade looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kim stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kim wants it to stay on the feet.

Vrade tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kim swivels and escapes.
Vrade looks to land a combination. Kim sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kim misses with a double jab
and Kim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Vrade throws a front kick that sends Kim stumbling back into the cage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vrade is defended easily by Kim.

Vrade closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vrade has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kim avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Vrade decides to pull guard.
Kim trying to control but Vrade is working from the bottom.
Vrade throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Vrade is trying to control the position but Kim postures up.
Kim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vrade . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kim slips nicely into half guard.
Kim not doing much here.

Vrade wants to control but Kim is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Vrade tries to roll over but Kim keeps him under control.
Kim controlling the action here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kim fails in his attempt to clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vrade moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Talles Vrade dominated that round.

Vrade throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kim's waist but Kim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vrade off to one side.

Vrade pushes Kim up against the cage in a clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kim as Vrade tries to tie him up.
Vrade goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kim prevents it.
Kim drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vrade gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Vrade 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vrade has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Talles Vrade . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kim is working for takedown but Vrade is calmly controlling the position for now.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Vrade successfully pulls guard.
Kim stays in close to Vrade 's body and controls the position.

Vrade is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kim gets to his feet. Vrade looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Kim doesn't manage to clinch there - Vrade circles away.

Kim is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vrade 's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kim is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Vrade trying to hold on to Kim's head to control him but Kim postures up.

Vrade tries to kick Kim off but Kim keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Vrade is looking for a sweep. Kim is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kim throws a jab but it's blocked by Vrade .
Kim throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vrade .

and Kim counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Vrade can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kim controls the pace.
Kim throwing strikes from guard but Vrade blocks nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kim slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Kim wants to stand and escape but instead Vrade has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kim avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Vrade misses with a takedown attempt - Kim sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Vrade fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kim, pushing him back against the cage.

Vrade 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vrade lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kim defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vrade .

and Kim counters with a shoot takedown. Vrade fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Talles Vrade . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Vrade has a closed guard, preventing Kim from standing up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kim is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Kim wants to get up but he can't break Vrade 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kim stands up and waves to Vrade to follow him.
Kim throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vrade misses with a takedown

and Kim counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Kim not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kim avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kim wants to stand but Vrade has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Vrade shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kim decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vrade 's guard.

Kim slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Vrade is looking to stand up but Kim isn't so interested in that idea.
Kim wants to stand but Vrade is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kim controlling from the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dan Kim hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Vrade instigates a clinch.

Vrade can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kim controls the pace.
Vrade tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kim controlling from the top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dan Kim wasn't active enough on the ground.
Vrade shoots in for a double leg but Kim sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dan Kim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kim has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
