The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sleek is bucking up trying to escape but Palhares cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Palhares has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sleek is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Palhares swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sleek is now in Palhares's guard. A big mistake from Palhares there, giving up the dominant position!

That was a close round but I would say that Dominickoy Palhares will probably get the nod.

Sleek paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Palhares - great work!
