Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Aces (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bay Area (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jonny Aces!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bay Area!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Aces, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Area ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aces moves away.
Aces bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Area's head.
Area digs a good hook to Aces's body.
Area fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Area takes a swing at Aces's ribcage but misses.
Area rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Aces counters with an outside leg kick.
Aces bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Area takes one to the chin there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Area misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Aces.
Area is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Aces rather than just go for the knockout.
Area fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Aces.
Area throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Aces throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Area forces Aces back against the cage and clinches.

Aces wants to break free but Area has control.

Area throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Aces blocks it with crossed arms.
Area tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Aces's elbow.

Aces's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Area throws a series of punches but Aces avoids them all with ease.

Nice uppercut lands for Aces. That snapped Area's head back.

Area stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Aces pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Aces misses with a series of wild punches.
Aces sizes up Area with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Area throws a lazy right hand but Aces sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Area closes the distance and pushes Aces back into the cage.

Aces breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bay Area seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aces looks to land a combination but Area avoids it well.
Area throws a body punch but Aces moves out of range.
Area throws a shot from downtown. Aces moves away and avoids it.

Area gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Area escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Area cracks Aces with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Aces defending well as Area loads up on a big left hand.
Aces misses with a jab, cross combination.
Area rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aces moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Area takes the fight into the clinch.
Aces blocks a body shot from Area.
Aces stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Area obliges.
The referee is keeping an eye on Area - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Area lands with a light punch inside.

Aces escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Area throws a right hand that Aces ducks under and follows up with a left that Aces also avoids with ease.
Area moves to clinch but Aces breaks away
and Aces connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Area on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Aces moves away from the strike by Area.
Area ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aces moves away.
Area lands a head shot.
Aces pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Area back to the cage. Aces follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Aces scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Aces blocks a jab.
Aces pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Area fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bay Area will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Area gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Aces.
Aces tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Area misses with a jab to the body
and Aces counters with a straight right hand.
Aces takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Aces is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Aces lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Area backs up against the cage.

Area is rocked!
Area tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Area is still on wobbly legs! Can Aces finish him?
Aces goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Area seems to have recovered his senses.
Area misses with a few strikes there.
Aces misses with a head kick.
Area swings widly with a right hand
and Aces counters with a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Aces throws a right and a left that Area avoids nicely.

Aces connects with the punch.
Aces lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Area can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Aces and Area drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Aces.

Jonny Aces decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
