PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roope Latvala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olof Palme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Latvala comes to the cage accompanied by Children of Bodom - Tie my rope. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Latvala changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Palme tries to avoid it but Latvala manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Palme to the ground. Palme escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Palme tries a low kick but Latvala avoids it.
Palme pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Palme slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Latvala has a takedown stuffed.
Palme throws a body punch but Latvala moves out of range.
Latvala shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Palme but Palme pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roope Latvala. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Palme throws a series of punches but Latvala avoids them all with ease.

Latvala shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Palme's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Latvala trying to control the position from guard on top but Palme is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Latvala is looking to pass into half guard but Palme pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Palme is in guard.

Latvala will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Palme tries to lock up and control but Latvala gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Latvala fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Palme is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Latvala wants to control the pace but Palme is squirming around nicely.

Latvala is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Palme can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Latvala pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Palme tries to reverse the position but Latvala maintains control.

Palme is rocked!
Latvala lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Palme! Latvala sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Palme and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
