Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jax Peroni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh McGee!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee shoots in but Peroni avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Peroni looks to throw the jab but McGee is out of range.
Peroni throws a wild body kick that McGee sees coming a mile off.
Peroni fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Peroni swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Peroni scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
McGee wants to control but Peroni is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peroni tries to stand and escape but McGee is controlling the position.

Peroni wants to control from the top but McGee keeps moving.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McGee looking for a sweep. Not yet McGee, not yet.
Peroni is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.

Peroni gets to his feet. McGee looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

McGee closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peroni to the mat! Peroni manages to get full guard.
Peroni is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Peroni thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
McGee throws and elbow that misses. Peroni uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McGee's guard. Nice move by Peroni!
McGee is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Peroni accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

McGee looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Peroni is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Peroni tries to stand but McGee is controlling from the bottom.
Peroni is breathing heavily.
McGee is trying to control the position but Peroni postures up.

McGee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Peroni manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McGee sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Peroni's guard.
Still in half guard, McGee seems content to control.
Peroni is looking to improve his position.
Peroni on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

McGee uses his free foot to push down on Peroni's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Peroni.

McGee gets to his feet - Peroni follows without any prompting.
McGee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Peroni takes a swing at McGee's ribcage but misses.

and McGee decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Peroni's guard.
McGee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peroni swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Peroni bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McGee's guard.
Peroni slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Peroni gets to his feet - McGee follows without any prompting.

McGee takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jax Peroni is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Peroni closes the distance and clinches.

Peroni manages to break the clinch.
McGee takes one to the chin there.

Peroni darts in and clinches McGee up against the cage.

Peroni breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
