Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Douglas White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Serafin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Douglas White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Serafin!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serafin doesn't succeed with the takedown

and White counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
White wants to pass to mount but Serafin is defending the position.
Still in half guard, White seems content to control.
White throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Serafin wants to control but White passes into side.
Serafin is pushing White's head away, looking to escape. White manages to hold on to the position though.

White tries for a kimura but Serafin is defending well.

White has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Serafin is looking to control White's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Serafin avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with White in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Douglas White just wasn't active enough.

and White counters with a takedown into side control.

Serafin prevents White from moving into mount.

White is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Serafin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

White thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Serafin on the ground.

White postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Serafin shoots and misses
