The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meloy on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Meloy lands with an overhand left.
Davidson just misses with a punch to the body.
Meloy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Davidson throws a jab but it's blocked by Meloy.
Davidson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Meloy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Davidson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Davidson lands with a slapping head kick.
Davidson cracks Meloy with an open hand slap.
Davidson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Davidson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Meloy slips under a jab.

Meloy moves out of range of the body kick.
Davidson connects with an inside leg kick.
Davidson throws a head kick that misses.
Davidson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Meloy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Davidson scrambles back to his feet.
Meloy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Davidson circles away quickly and effectively.

Meloy misses with a looping right.
Davidson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Davidson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Davidson loads up on a big right hand but Meloy slips the punch.
Davidson catches Meloy with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
