The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capriotti misses with a hook.
Capriotti lands a nice shot to the body.

Capriotti swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
De Mira shoots in for a takedown but Capriotti shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
De Mira moves out of range of the strikes.

and Capriotti counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
De Mira ducks under a wild hook from Capriotti.

De Mira shoots for a takedown but Capriotti saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Algenir De Mira. That's going to take a lot out of him.

De Mira changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Capriotti looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

De Mira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Capriotti on the ground.
Capriotti manages to work his way to half guard, despite De Mira's best efforts.

Capriotti is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but De Mira pulls his head out easily.
