The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lovejoy's half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gracie prevents Lovejoy from standing back up.

Gracie is pressing down on Lovejoy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lovejoy is holding on for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gracie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No joy there for Lovejoy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gracie moves into the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Gracie has Lovejoy pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gracie pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lovejoy tumbling to the mat - Gracie dives into Lovejoy's guard.
Lovejoy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lovejoy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lovejoy fails to land with a series of punches.

Lovejoy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gracie!
Gracie is desperately trying to improve his position but Lovejoy has a good base and remains in mount.

Gracie tries to hold on but Lovejoy pushes him away.

Lovejoy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gracie manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Gracie is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lovejoy has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Gracie wants to control but Lovejoy postures up.
Lovejoy misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Lovejoy stands up and beckons Gracie to his feet.
Briggs Lovejoy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gracie scores with a kick to the midsection.

Gracie looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lovejoy!
Gracie is breathing heavily.

Gracie stands up from mount. Strange move.

Lovejoy shoots in but no luck this time.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lovejoy.

Gracie has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lovejoy to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gracie is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lovejoy pulls down on the head and he's put Gracie to sleep! This one is all over!
