Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Jaxson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Jaxson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jaxson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Santos tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Jaxson manages to move to mount!

Jaxson has hold of Santos's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Santos manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jaxson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Santos tries to clinch but Jaxson is having none of it.

and Jaxson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Jaxson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jaxson.

Jaxson is keen to just control but Santos is a slippery customer.

Jaxson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Santos does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jaxson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Santos really wants to buck Jaxson off and get back to his feet.
