Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Parkachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez has chosen Spill The Wine - War as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Parkachev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Perez!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Parkachev as Perez shoots in.
Perez tries for a takedown but Parkachev sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Parkachev throws a right hand that Perez ducks under and follows up with a left that Perez also avoids with ease.
Perez misses with a takedown attempt
and Parkachev counters with a one-two to the body.
Vladimir Parkachev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Perez.
Horrible takedown by Perez or perhaps it was just good defense by Parkachev which made him look bad.
Billy Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez shoots in looking for a takedown. Parkachev tries to sprawl out of it but Perez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Parkachev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Perez misses with a takedown attempt - Parkachev sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Perez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Perez is pushing down on Parkachev's leg trying to pass to half guard. Parkachev is fighting to maintain full guard but Perez has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Perez dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Perez shoots in but Parkachev avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Perez closes the distance and clinches up with Parkachev, looking for a takedown. Perez pushes Parkachev against the cage but Parkachev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Parkachev throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Parkachev enables Perez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Parkachev manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Perez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Parkachev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Perez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Parkachev's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Perez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Parkachev with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
