PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Muller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rabago might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lungs Like Gallows. The key to victory for Adam Rabago has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabago looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Muller is fending him off so far but Rabago persists. Nope, Muller circles away and we're back to standing.
Rabago wants to clinch up but Muller keeps it at a distance.
Muller throws a right hand that Rabago ducks under and follows up with a left that Rabago also avoids with ease.
Muller is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rabago shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Rabago shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Muller but Muller pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rabago is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Muller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rabago sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rabago swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rabago closes the distance and clinches up with Muller, looking for a takedown. Rabago pushes Muller against the cage but Muller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Rabago. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rabago decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Rabago is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Muller defends it well.

Muller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rabago. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rabago tries to pass to full mount but Muller defends it.
Muller wants to get back to full guard.
Rabago wants to pass to mount but Muller is defending the position.
Rabago is breathing heavily.
Rabago wants to control but Muller is keeping him busy.
Muller moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Rabago wants to control from the top but Muller keeps moving.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rabago avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Muller lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Muller is looking to clinch.
Rabago pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Muller fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rabago, pushing him back against the cage.

Muller stops a takedown attempt from Rabago.
Rabago drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Still in the clinch, Muller scores with a nice short uppercut.
Muller stalls.
Muller with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Muller has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rabago is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Rabago ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rabago no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Muller throwing strikes but missing.

Muller stands up and waves to Rabago to follow him.
Rabago shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Muller but Muller pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rabago walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Muller clinches up with Rabago and pushes him back against the cage.
Muller lands an elbow just above Rabago 's eye.

Muller stops a takedown attempt from Rabago.
Rabago tries to pull guard but Muller holds him up against the cage and eventually Rabago drops back down to his feet.
Muller with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Rabago tries to pull guard but Muller won't allow it.
Muller content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Rabago avoiding damage as Muller throws knees to the body.
The referee calls for Muller to work.

Rabago drags the fight down to the ground.
Rabago is trying to keep Muller in close.
Muller wants to control from the top but Rabago keeps moving.
Muller postures up in Rabago's guard and throws a big left but Rabago blocks it.

Muller is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rabago has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Muller is looking to defend but Rabago has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Muller! Rabago pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Muller taps out and this one is all over!
