Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucio Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Rousel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rousel is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Never Scared. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rousel.
Rousel gets caught flat footed, as Palhares shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rousel keeping busy on the bottom but Palhares has passed one foot through into half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Rousel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Palhares slips a nice elbow through Rousel's hands, connecting with Rousel's forehead.
Palhares has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rousel wants to improve his position but Palhares is controlling well.
