Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Len Speed!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katainen scores with a jab to the body.
Speed with a hook.
Katainen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Katainen on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Speed. Speed obviously looking to wear him down.
Katainen tries to clinch up.
Speed buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Katainen on the wrong end of a nice hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Katainen throws a quick inside leg kick.

Katainen tries to close the distance and clinch but Speed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Speed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Katainen.
Speed blocks a jab.
Speed misses with a wild body shot.
Katainen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Katainen darts in and clinches Speed up against the cage.

Speed avoids the elbow strike from Katainen, against the cage.
Speed is trying to break free.

Speed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Speed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nice body punch from Katainen.
Katainen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Nice shot lands for Speed.


It looks like Jyrki Katainen has been cut.
Katainen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Katainen connects with a crisp jab.

Speed throws a leg kick that is checked
and Katainen counters with a thumping low kick.

A looping hook to the body misses from Speed. Katainen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Katainen tries to bum rush Speed with a series of wild strikes but Speed uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Katainen lands with an uppercut that bounces Speed off the cage and back into range.
Speed throws a looping overhand right but Katainen ducks down to avoid it.
Speed throws a chopping leg kick but Katainen manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Katainen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Speed stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Katainen pushes Speed back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Katainen lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Katainen lands with a light punch inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Speed.
Still in the clinch, Katainen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Katainen prevents Speed from breaking the clinch.
Katainen throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Speed tries to circle away but Katainen has him pinned against the cage.
Speed takes an elbow to the temple.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Katainen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Katainen lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Katainen misses with an elbow over the top.
Katainen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Katainen.
Still in the clinch, Katainen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Katainen lands a damaging elbow.


Speed is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Speed is pressed against the cage. Katainen pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Speed! Two more big strikes from Katainen and Speed crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jyrki Katainen!
Jyrki Katainen very nearly forgot to thank Adrenaline amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
