Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cung Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santino Marella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le comes to the cage accompanied by Ten Thousand Strong. Marella has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Cung Le has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cung Le!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Santino Marella!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marella avoids the head kick by Le.
Marella throws a leg kick but Le moved away.
Le displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marella.
Le rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Marella moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Le pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Marella back to the cage. Le follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Santino Marella has been cut.
Marella shoots in looking for a takedown but Le manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marella's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Le darts in and clinches Marella up against the cage.
Le lands a left hand.
Le with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Le stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Le could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Marella looks winded!
Nice body punch from Le - that landed with a thud.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Le scores with a knee to the head.
Le struggles to land a body shot inside as Marella controls his hands.
A short right from Le on the inside.
Marella jumps guard but Le stands there with Marella around his waist. Marella gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cung Le has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santino Marella.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Le.
Le scores a nice knee to the body.
Le lands a nice uppercut.
Le works on Marella's body with a couple of short punches.
Le lands a body punch.
Le lands a right hand that snaps the head of Marella backwards.
Le is working Marella over against the cage.
Le lands a nice knee to the body.
Le is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Le stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Le pushes Marella back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Le scores with a knee to the head.
Marella's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Marella is rocked!
Le cracks Marella with a nice body shot.
Le misses with a knee to the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Le creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Marella is still on wobbly legs! Can Le finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Le putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Marella in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Marella seems to have recovered his senses.
Le's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Le lands with a kick to the ribs.
Le punishes Marella's body with a nice straight punch.
Le thuds his shin into the meat of Marella's side.
Le throws a sloppy head kick and Marella moves out of range easily.
Le clinches up against the cage.
Le lands a left hand.
Le lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Le softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Le.
Le using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Marella has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Le dips a shoulder and cracks Marella with a mighty uppercut! Marella falls back against the cage and Le unloads with a barrage of strikes! Marella is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Le screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cung Le!
