Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Enric Palazuelos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Enric Palazuelos has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palazuelos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Thomas looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Palazuelos scores with a head kick.

Palazuelos lands a big head kick that sends Thomas tumbling to the mat! Palazuelos takes a step backwards and waves Thomas back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Thomas is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Thomas closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Palazuelos's guard.
Palazuelos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Palazuelos tries to get out of the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Thomas is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Thomas throws a big right hand that misses.

Thomas drops back looking for a leg! Palazuelos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Palazuelos manages to kick Thomas off! Thomas jumps back into Palazuelos's guard.

Thomas wants to work for an arm triangle but Palazuelos is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Thomas wants to free his trapped foot but Palazuelos is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Palazuelos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Thomas is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Palazuelos is looking to get back to full guard here but Thomas has managed to pass to side control instead.
Palazuelos wants to control but Thomas postures up.

Thomas working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Thomas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Thomas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Thomas works to advance to full mount. Palazuelos defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Thomas moves to back control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thomas working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Palazuelos is doing well to defend. Thomas seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Palazuelos is forced to tap and this one is over!

In his post fight interview, Paul Thomas started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
