Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Pikkarainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zhijing Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pikkarainen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Apocalyptica - Path. Zhijing Wang will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wang thuds his right hand into Pikkarainen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Pikkarainen is looking to reverse the position.

Zhijing Wang dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Wang thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Pikkarainen if he has to take too many more of those.
Wang wants to land a leg kick but Pikkarainen is out of range.

Wang moves away from the strike by Pikkarainen.
Pikkarainen throws a hook but Wang blocks it.
Pikkarainen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wang to the mat! Wang manages to get full guard.

Wang has his foot on Pikkarainen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pikkarainen works his way back into a safe position though.

Wang manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pikkarainen manages to get himself to full guard.

Pikkarainen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pikkarainen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wang is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pikkarainen.

Wang looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Wang has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Pikkarainen! Can he survive? No! He's out! Wang gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
