The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jefferson Monroe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carvalho throws a left and a right that both miss

and Jefferson Monroe counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Carvalho's guard now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Carvalho wants to stand but Jefferson Monroe is controlling the position.

Carvalho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jefferson Monroe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
