Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Stone!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steve Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Rogers misses its intended target.
Stone throws a leg kick but Rogers sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Stone misses the shot to the body.
A swing and a miss from Stone.
Rogers misses with a low kick.
Stone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rogers circles away quickly and effectively.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stone.
Stone leaves Rogers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stone throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Stone throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Stone throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Rogers shoots in looking for a takedown. Stone tries to sprawl out of it but Rogers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Stone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Stone misses with a head kick.
Stone pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rogers back to the ropes. Stone follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Rogers throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rogers slips a jab and a cross from Stone.
Chris Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rogers scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Horrible takedown by Rogers or perhaps it was just good defense by Stone which made him look bad.

Rogers bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stone's head backwards.
Rogers missing with a left hand there. Stone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Rogers looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Rogers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stone has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rogers has managed to get both his arms back between Stone's legs - danger averted.
Rogers lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Stone throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rogers escapes and throws Stone's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Rogers is working for a guillotine from mount but Stone frees his head quite easily.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stone is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Stone regains half guard.

Nice strikes from Rogers there.

Stone is defending against the submission attempts here by Rogers.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Stone looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rogers is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rogers.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Stone will probably get the nod.

Stone lands with a kick to the temple. Rogers shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Steve Rogers has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rogers is defended easily by Stone.
Stone feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rogerss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Rogers counters with a nice uppercut.
Rogers slips a jab and a cross from Stone.
Rogers tries to land a front kick but Stone steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A frustrated look appears on Stone's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Stone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for Rogers with that takedown attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rogers buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Rogers manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stone on his heels. He'll look to pass Stone's guard now, I'm sure.

Stone looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Rogers is defending well. Stone quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rogers has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Stone celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.

A relieved looking Chris Stone thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
