Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Ideluca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Royce Gracie has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt

and Ideluca holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Ideluca drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ideluca has control of Gracie's left arm, preventing Gracie from doing any damage.
Gracie postures up and lands a big shot to Ideluca's brow.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ideluca's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ideluca sprawls well. Ideluca wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

Gracie is looking to land body kicks.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ideluca paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Ideluca is pressed up against the cage. Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ideluca down to the mat. Ideluca avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ideluca decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Ideluca changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ideluca is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gracie is just riding it out for now. Ideluca eventually gives up the hold.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ideluca can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
