Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Le Chung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chung comes to the cage accompanied by Cypress Hill - Latin Thugs . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Le Chung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Maurice White!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from White, right into the meat.
White looks for the body kick but Chung saw that one coming.
White throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Chung connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
White misses with a head kick.
White tries to clinch there but Chung circles away.
Chung stuffs the takedown.
White tries to land a leg kick but Chung saw it coming and moves away.
White tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chung sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten White somewhat.

and Chung counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Le Chung has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maurice White.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Le Chung wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
White tries to clinch but Chung moves out of range.

Chung avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Chung closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chung lands in his opponent's guard.

Chung stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Le Chung.

White tries to score with a low kick but Chung moves his leg out of the way.
White tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Chung is able to avoid easily.

and Chung counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

White walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chung checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
White misses with a low kick.

and Chung counters with a takedown into side control.
Chung staying calm.
White is trying to control Chung's posture but Chung avoids it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Chung tries to advance to mount but can't.
Chung gets to mount! White was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

White is desperately trying to improve his position but Chung has a good base and remains in mount.
White wants to control but Chung is having none of it.
White is wriggling around trying to escape.
Chung controlling the position easily from mount.

White is looking to get to half guard.
Chung looking to control and managing it successfully.

White is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
White wants to control but Chung is having none of it.

Good work by Chung as he checks the leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by White. That's going to slow Chung down.
White shoots in but no luck this time.

Chung takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
White throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

White doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Chung counters with a takedown into side control.
White manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chung's best efforts.
White manages to get to full guard.

White escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chung gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Maurice White has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Chung drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but White manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chung has White in his guard.
White forces his way into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

White is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chung doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time White.

White is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Chung on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chung tries to get out of the position.

White throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

White is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
White wants to pass the guard but Chung is defending well.
Chung flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Chung slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Maurice White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

A determined Le Chung didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
