Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Samuelsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Samuelsson's choice of entrance music: Pretty Fly. Pedro Suarez looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Samuelsson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Samuelsson.
Samuelsson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Suarez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Suarez is looking for a triangle but Samuelsson pushes his legs off easily.
Samuelsson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Suarez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Samuelsson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Suarez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Samuelsson has managed to get both his arms back between Suarez's legs - danger averted.
