Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ashley J Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francis Bronze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Williams might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Heres My Boomstick, By The Evil Dead. Bronze has chosen One More Night- Maroon 5 as his entrance music. Ashley J Williams has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Francis Bronze!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams misses with a wild body shot.

Williams has closed the distance and engaged Bronze in a clinch.
Williams misses with a punch on the inside.

Bronze has picked Williams up - he's going for a ride! Bronze dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Bronze stands up from half guard.
Williams closes the distance looking to clinch

and Bronze counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Williams looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bronze looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Bronze lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Bronze seems to be working for a kimura but Williams defends the submission attempt.
Bronze is nestled in close to Williams, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Williams is breathing heavily.
Bronze is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Well, if Bronze is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Bronze working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Williams wants to control but Bronze is keeping busy.
Bronze is taking a breather. Williams says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bronze postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Williams to stand up.

Williams throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Bronze closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bronze controlling the position.
Williams prevents Bronze from moving into mount.
Williams can't do much from the bottom here.

Bronze thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The referee asks Bronze politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Bronze prefers to stall for the moment though.
Bronze really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Williams is not content to let Bronze control the position.
Bronze in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Williams is looking to reverse the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Francis Bronze was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bronze tries to close the distance and clinch but Williams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bronze darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bronze seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Williams does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Francis Bronze dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bronze swats away the attempt to clinch by Williams.
Williams tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Bronze decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Williams's guard.
Bronze is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Williams is looking for a triangle but Bronze pushes his legs off easily.
Williams will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bronze would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bronze gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bronze distracts Williams with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Bronze got a little sloppy there for a moment and Williams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bronze has managed to get both his arms back between Williams's legs - danger averted.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Williams has a closed guard, preventing Bronze from standing up.

Bronze sitting in guard here, content to control.
Bronze should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bronze trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bronze must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Bronze controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Francis Bronze hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Bronze lands a slapping body shot.
Ashley J Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams thows a body shot but no joy.
Bronze circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bronze stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Bronze drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Bronze stands up and waves to Williams to follow him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bronze shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bronze showed some decent athleticism there.

Williams looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Bronze keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Bronze has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bronze content just to control the position here.
Williams wants to hold on but Bronze pushes him away.
Bronze is landing with some decent strikes but Williams is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

BOOM! Bronze connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Oh Williams is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bronze connects with a bit shot that sees Williams covering up! More strikes from Bronze and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Bronze is our winner by TKO!
