Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Valko Hai!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ulf Schmidt!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hai.
Schmidt uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Schmidt misses with a few strikes there.
Schmidt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hai throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Schmidt sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Schmidt throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Schmidt takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Schmidt slips a jab and a cross from Hai.
Hai throws out a loose jab but Schmidt uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hai avoids a punch combination nicely.
Schmidt's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Schmidt duly obliges.
It looks like Valko Hai has been cut.
Nice uppercut lands for Schmidt. That snapped Hai's head back.
Schmidt throws a right hand that Hai ducks under and follows up with a left that Hai also avoids with ease.
Hai looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Schmidt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hai avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Schmidt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hai fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hai misses with a hook. Schmidt ducked under it nicely.
Schmidt throws a right hand that Hai ducks under and follows up with a left that Hai also avoids with ease.
Hai throws a shot from downtown. Schmidt moves away and avoids it.
Schmidt changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Schmidt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hai moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Schmidt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hai counters with a nice double leg into side control. Schmidt won't be happy with that.
Hai is working Schmidt over with some ground and pound from side control.
Schmidt is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Hai has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hai lands an elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schmidt is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hai asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Schmidt looks winded!
Hai in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hai has an Americana. Schmidt didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hai is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hai hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Valko Hai!
