The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Massaranduba pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Massaranduba gets caught napping as Pupkoff dives in and scores a takedown. Massaranduba manages to retain guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Pupkoff is not content to let Massaranduba control the position.
Massaranduba thows a huge punch but Pupkoff dodges it nicely.

Francisco Massaranduba has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Pupkoff decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Massaranduba wants to control but Pupkoff is keeping busy.
Pupkoff is nestled in close to Massaranduba, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Pupkoff lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Massaranduba quite badly. Massaranduba pulls Pupkoff in close trying to recover. Pupkoff postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Massaranduba on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Massaranduba doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Pupkoff!
