Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peder Bjornsund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machdoor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machdoor has chosen AVICI - LEVELS as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Bjornsund misses its intended target.
Bjornsund swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Machdoor throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bjornsund misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Donk. Bjornsund catches Machdoor right on the button with a cross.
Machdoor rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bjornsund moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Machdoor fails with a takedown attempt.
Machdoor shoots in looking for a takedown. Bjornsund tries to sprawl out of it but Machdoor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bjornsund manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Machdoor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bjornsund manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Machdoor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Machdoor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machdoor working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bjornsund knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machdoor on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Peder Bjornsund will probably get the nod.

Bjornsund throws a lazy right hand but Machdoor sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Bjornsund just misses with a elbow thrown towards Machdoor's brow.

Lyoto Machdoor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
