Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Macadam Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniyel Nebi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nebi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Magic. Macadam Baird could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Daniyel Nebi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baird misses with a jab to the body
and Nebi counters with a low kick, right behind Baird 's knee.
Good standup being displayed there by Nebi as he connects with a hook.
Baird throws a hook to the side of Nebi's head but Nebi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Baird manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Nebi on his heels. He'll look to pass Nebi's guard now, I'm sure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Baird accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Baird drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Baird jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nebi is on top in guard.

Baird shoots in and drives through. Nebi sprawls well.

and Nebi counters with a head kick. That will keep Baird thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baird fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nebi manages to avoid it.

Baird closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nebi to the mat! Nebi manages to get full guard.

Nebi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Nebi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baird. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that Macadam Baird will probably get the nod.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Baird here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

No joy there for Baird, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Baird tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Baird has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Baird, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
