Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Logan Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otakar Janecky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janecky has chosen Strauss - Radetzky March as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Logan Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Otakar Janecky!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele darts in trying to clinch
and Janecky counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A big right from Janecky misses.
Janecky misses with a left hand
and Steele counters with a thumping low kick.
Steele throws a hook but Janecky avoids it easily.

Janecky moves into the clinch successfully.
Steele tries to break free but Janecky pushes him back against the cage.
Janecky is leaning against Steele and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Steele lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Janecky backwards.

Janecky manages to break the clinch.
Steele lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Janecky is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steele.
Janecky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Steele closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Janecky did well to prevent Steele getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Janecky tries to roll over but Steele keeps him under control.

Steele wants to take a breather but Janecky is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Steele is looking to clinch but Janecky is avoiding it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Janecky tries to close the distance and clinch but Steele swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Steele misses the shot to the body.
The crowd cheers as Janecky lands an impressive looking overhand right. Steele doesn't seem phased though.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Janecky.
Janecky throws a strike aimed at the side of Steele's head but Steele avoids it well.
Janecky connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Steele some visible discomfort.
Steele is looking to regain half guard here but Janecky keeps moving and retains side control.
Janecky works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Janecky cracks Steele with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Steele is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steele is working hard here to advance position.

Steele takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Janecky landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Steele is trying to get back to half guard.
A lull in the action here.
Steele sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Steele wants to improve his position but Janecky is controlling well.
Steele avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Janecky.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Otakar Janecky dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Janecky counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Janecky takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Janecky scores with a hook.
Janecky misses with a hook. Steele ducked under it nicely.
Janecky thows a body shot but no joy.
Janecky shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Steele counter with a right hand.
Steele ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Janecky throws a lazy uppercut
and Steele cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Steele looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Janecky moves into full guard.

Janecky has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steele can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Steele tries to free his leg and advance position but Janecky is retaining full guard.
Steele trying to control but Janecky is working from the bottom.
Steele trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Steele trying to control the position from guard on top but Janecky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Janecky lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Steele!

After winning the bout, Otakar Janecky thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
