Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sticky Buds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Massimo Fabbri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sticky Buds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Massimo Fabbri!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Buds crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fabbri - the referee stops the clock and Buds gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fabbri. Buds manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Buds looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Fabbri shoots for a double leg takedown but Buds sprawls well. He's pushed Fabbri's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fabbri moves into the clinch.
Fabbri drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Buds gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fabbri lands an elbow just above Buds 's eye.

It looks like Sticky Buds has been cut.
Fabbri gets through Buds's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fabbri lands a knee to the head.
Buds tries to break the clinch but Fabbri is controlling the position.
Buds takes an elbow to the forehead.
A frustrated look appears on Buds's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Fabbri scores with a knee to the head.
Fabbri is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Sticky Buds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Massimo Fabbri.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fabbri lands a damaging elbow.

Fabbri gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Fabbri postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Fabbri is in close to Buds's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fabbri passes easily into side control. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Buds is working to avoid the ground and pound but Fabbri connects with a decent elbow.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Fabbri scores with punches from side control.

Fabbri has an Americana. Buds didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Fabbri is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Fabbri hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Massimo Fabbri!
