The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ferreira doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Felipe to counter with a crisp jab.
Ferreira throws a head kick that misses.
Ferreira dodges the punch combination from Felipe.
Ferreira fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Felipe misses with a few strikes there.
Felipe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ferreira swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ferreira takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Ferreira shoots in for a takedown but Felipe shows good takedown defense.

Ferreira shoots for a takedown but Felipe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ferreira is breathing heavily.
Felipe pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ferreira back to the cage. Felipe follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ferreira tries to close the distance and clinch but Felipe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A combination from Felipe does no damage.
Ferreira has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ferreira shoots in for a double leg but Felipe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Felipe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ferreira moves in looking to clinch but Felipe pushes him off.
Felipe is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Felipe drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Ferreira right on the button. Ferreira goes down! Felipe follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Felipe gets the win via TKO!
