The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akylbekov tries to clinch up
and Fermazi counters with an inside leg kick.
Fermazi scores with a hook.
Tolegen Akylbekov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fermazi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fermazi has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Akylbekov!

Fermazi postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Akylbekov looks a forlorn figure.
Fermazi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fermazi quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Fermazi but it's paid off an Akylbekov is forced to tap! Nice work by Fermazi.
