Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Sawden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Sawden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Wagner!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sawden has a takedown stuffed.
A head kick misses from Wagner.
Wagner looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Sawden walks forward, straight into a front kick from Wagner.
Sawden tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wagner dodges the punch combination from Sawden.
Sawden shoots in but Wagner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sawden checks a leg kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Sawden blocks the leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sawden is defended easily by Wagner.

Wagner takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Sawden takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wagner dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sawden. That did some damage!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sawden tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Wagner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sawden lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Sawden throws a nice looking combination but Wagner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sawden tries to close the distance and clinch but Wagner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A slapping body kick lands there for Sawden.

Sawden shoots in and drives through. Wagner sprawls well.
Sawden shoots in looking for a takedown but Wagner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sawden's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sawden tries for a takedown but Wagner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sawden is breathing heavily.
Sawden shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wagner defends it nicely.
Wagner attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Sawden has Wagner up against the cage in a clinch.

Sawden decides to pull guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Sawden is looking for a triangle here but Wagner uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Sawden tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wagner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wagner wants to stand but Sawden has his arm trapped.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sawden wants to control but Wagner postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sawden's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Wagner moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Wagner gets caught napping as Sawden dives in and scores a takedown. Wagner manages to retain guard.

Sawden trying to control the position from guard on top but Wagner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wagner wants to control the position but Sawden says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Sawden seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Sawden seems to be working for a kimura but Wagner defends the submission attempt.
Sawden wants to take a breather but Wagner is having none of it.

Sawden tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wagner knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Wagner is staying active underneath Sawden, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel Sawden wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Sawden misses with a takedown attempt - Wagner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sawden takes a shot right to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Wagner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Wagner ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sawden has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wagner.
A nice inside leg kick there by Wagner. That's going to slow Sawden down.

Wagner throws a leg kick which misses Sawden's front leg but catches the back leg as Sawden tries to avoid it.

A punch lands to the side of Sawden 's head but he takes it in his stride.
An inside leg kick lands from Wagner.
Wagner steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sawden. That one must have hurt.
Wagner throws a sloppy head kick and Sawden moves out of range easily.
The fighters circle, before Wagner throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Sawden's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Wagner lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
