Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lawrence Charles!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quaid keeps the fight on the outside.
Horrible takedown by Charles or perhaps it was just good defense by Quaid which made him look bad.
Charles closes the distance but Quaid moves to the side
and Quaid counters with a body kick.
Quaid throws a leg kick that misses.
A lazy body kick from Charles
and Quaid counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Charles fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Charles with a poor takedown
and Charles takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Charles moves to clinch but Quaid breaks away
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Charles tries for a takedown but Quaid circles away easily
letting Quaid counter with a right hand.
Darrell Quaid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lawrence Charles.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Quaid lands a right hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Quaid lands a big head kick that sends Charles tumbling to the mat! Quaid takes a step backwards and waves Charles back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Charles is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Quaid lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Charles up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Quaid from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Charles's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
