The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adolphus fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Loow sprawls well initially but Adolphus persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Adolphus drops an elbow to the side of Loow's head.
Adolphus lands strikes from half guard.
Adolphus slips a nice elbow through Loow's hands, connecting with Loow's forehead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Adolphus is thwarting Loow's attempts to control the position.
Loow has hold of Adolphus's hands but Adolphus slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Adolphus lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Adolphus prevents Loow from improving his position.
Loow is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Adolphus scores with a couple of nice shots.
Loow wants to get back to full guard.
Adolphus is nestled in close to Loow, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Adolphus is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Loow is rocked!
Adolphus sitting in half guard here. He lands a big elbow that has hurt Loow! Oh, Loow is in big trouble! Adolphus lands more strikes and the ref dives in to save him! The fight is over!
