Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a nice strike.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Jakobsen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Jakobsen drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Jakobsen off! Jakobsen jumps back into Jones's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jakobsen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jones wanted to stand there but Jakobsen had control of the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jakobsen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jones escapes and throws Jakobsen's legs to the side, diving into side control!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jakobsen manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jakobsen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Adolf Jakobsen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jakobsen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jakobsen wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.

Jakobsen is working to tighten is grip on Jones's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jones has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jakobsen is really squeezing tight and eventually Jones passes out! Jakobsen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
